Open Air Internet

Open Air Internet is a fixed wireless service available in some select areas of the Mendocino coast as far north as Westport. It is an internet only connection and requires no phone line.

Open Air Internet offers download package speeds that include up to 50 Mb/s, 100 Mb/s or 250 Mb/s.

Download speeds are only half the equation. Cloud backups and video calls makes the upload speed an important factor. Open Air Internet has upload speeds of up to 10 Mb/s, 20Mb/s and 35 Mb/s. Thats a lot faster than most uploads offered by other providers!

If you want telephone service for your home or business you can add MCN Digital Voice service for a great combo!

How fast is Open Air?

To stream Standard definition (SD) you need 3 Mb/s.
To stream High definition (HD) you need at least 5 Mb/s.
To stream 4K/Ultra HD you need at least 25 Mb/s.
With Open Air Internet you can still be on a video call while multiple people watch HD streams.

For cloud backups or streaming video a higher upload speed really makes a difference!

Open Air Extender

If you have a large house or the router is not centrally located MCN will run a second ethernet cable from the radio to a second router location. This second router will provide additional signal through your entire house. Open Air Extender is available for $10/Month and a one time install fee of $50.

What is the installation process?
