2008 CCFC HOSTED EVENTS


A Seminar with Mr. Jan Englesma,
Sunday, July 20th, 2008 ( at the Santa Rosa Equestrian Center, In Santa Rosa CA www.srequestrian.com.) this will be hosted by the Coastal California Friesian Club (CCFC: www.cafriesianclub.com ) Mr. Jan Engelsma is formerly an FPS Board Member and FPS judge, with an expertise in linear scoring. He has judged many times in the United States and Canada during our inspection circuits. Jan speaks clear English and strongly believes he can teach about the Friesian horse in an uplifting and positive way. (Please remember that Jan is no longer speaking directly for the FPS &His opinions and teachings may very from that of a current official FPS judges), THIS IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH FHANA OR THE INSPECTION CIRCUIT. Jan will be teaching from a background of years of knowledge, expertise, and experiences. Topics of these clinics will be consistent with the FPS its directions and goals for the breed. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to further their knowledge of the Friesian breed with an insightful, in depth educational look, in a relaxed atmosphere. Seminar will include an Educational lecture on; preserving / improving the Friesian, breeding goals, inbreeding theories, stallion selections, methods of inspections, conformation styles, trends, bloodlines. The future of the Friesian horse in the worldwide arena. Followed by a mock Inspection, learning the basics of an individual evaluation, what FPS judges look for, the final goal, linear scoring and filling out the score forms. Take the opportunity to learn to inspect horses and compare conclusions with Jan's evaluations. we will end with a Q & A session. Atendees to this clinic will be Charged $45 per person and will be asked to sign up and pay in advance. Attending horses will be $120.00 per horse, (SPACES LIMITED TO MAX of 10 Horses) and will be asked to sign up and pay in advance. horses will be mock judged and told and given reccamendations to make impovements etc. If you are planning to attend please send me an e-mail. July 29th and 30th Sonoma County Horse Council, presents: The Equine Extravaganza at Santa Rosa Fairgrounds Chris Beck Arena The event starts at 1pm and ends at 6pm both days. We have some returning favorites of last year and fabulous new demo’s to excite our audiences this year. This event keeps growing each year and is becoming know as an all discipline showcase that shows why Sonoma County is the second largest equine community in the state of California.! NEW FOR THIS YEAR This year the runners will be here legally they are contracted in Holland and had to try out in order to be chosen to Travel to the US with work Visa's to run horses, each site will have three professional runners and you will be able to sign up and pay for them when you send in your Kuering forms.
Also a veterinarian will be at the inspection site to inject the microchips the fee for this will be $25.00 per horse and will have to be paid for by the Exhibitor at sign up time (our site sign up).
