DIANE BOEKE, graduated from the University of Utah with a theatre major. Following graduation, she taught speech and drama for several years and appeared as co-host on a weekly TV talent show in the early days of live commercial television. Then followed a move to Los Angeles where she appeared in experimental television productions for the U.S. Air Force. She later resided in Hawaii for 16 years, appearing in many community theatre productions, several movies, and live TV appearances on game shows and in commercials. Diane returned to Southern California where she continued her involvement in acting, directing, and producing community theatre productions before establishing residence at The Sea Ranch. Diane directed the first 16 Thespian plays and appeared in "Dear Master" and "Beyond Reasonable Doubt". JERI TAYLOR, has had extensive experience in theater as an actress, director, and teacher of acting. She had a career in television as a writer, director, and producer, with credits on such shows as the “Star Trek” franchise, “Magnum, P.I.”, “In the heat of the Night”, and “Quincy, M.E.”. KAREN SERRATONI, taught arts and communication skills in high schools in Michigan, California and Kentucky. She has directed productions for community theatre, produced and directed a performing readers theatre and was administrating director of the Louisville Children’s Theatre. She has performed professionally and in community theatres in the Lousiville area where she lived and worked for 34 years. Audiences may remember Karen as the outrageous Delia in “Scrambled Shakespeare” and as the nasty Miss Hannigan in “Annie” at Gualala Arts. Karen appeared is Lila in the Thespian’s production of “The Autograph Hound”. Karen directed the Sea Ranch Thespian’s production of “The Dining Room” and “Spoon River Anthology”. The Sea Ranch thespians will have diferent artistic directors. Her sister and nephew are actors, and her grandmother taught drama at the University of Wyoming for 24 years. Carol was involved in high school JOHN WINGATE is the other half of the co-producer team. John's background in mechanical and electrical engineering came into play with his design of technical equipment and the computerized stage lighting system. He also engineered the stage and set construction so that after each play, the barn can be cleared as the theatrical gear is placed in storage. Carol Emory and John Wingate have become "angels" who have followed through with details from sets, lighting, sound system, printed programs, tickets, and publicity to the myriad backstage operations. These two are the quintessential dream backers for The Sea Ranch Thespians. |
