October 19th, 3:30- 4:30
beginning the form- We will start this session at the very beginning of
the form, the Wu Chi state of emptiness, moving into Tai Chi -the
continuous liquid flow of yin and yang energy, continuing on through to
the "leg lifts" section.

Wu style long form, an upright form of
108 movements, emphasizing balance, energy flow, relaxation, gentle
strenghthening of the legs and back. We will touch on martial arts
applications where appropriate to understand the energy direction and
flow. Primarilly, this class is about energy, balance (both physical
and mental), gentle strengthening, and meditation. |

The form is taught in three 8 week
sessions, but you can jump in at any point.

A Class begins with a series of
warm-up exercises followed by instruction in the postures that compose
the form
|

What to where: comfortable loose
clothing, tai chi shoes if you have them.
