Birding Festivals:

The Aleutian Goose Festival is held annually in Crescent City to celebrate the return of spring and the annual gathering of the world's entire population of Aleutian Canada Geese.

The Godwit Days birding festival is held in Arcata at the peak of spring migration and includes guided trips to the world-renowned Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary, home to 253 species of birds and mammals.
