CHAPERONE RESPONSIBILITIES
The following is a description of the basic responsibilities for chaperones at PEEC.
1. Direct oversight of students in your assigned cabin group.
2. Sleep in assigned cabin with students.
3. Help monitor recreation and free time (before and after meals).
4. Help monitor shower time quickly and efficiently.
5. Sit with students at meals and help keep noise level down.
6. Help students prepare skit for campfire.
7. Help serve during meals.
8. Take a supporting role when along on hikes with a naturalist.
9. Notify the teacher or director if you need to leave camp for any reason.
10. Enjoy your stay at PEEC!
Chaperones are role models and are responsible for reinforcing the following camp
rules.
1. No food, candy or drinks in cabins.
2. Students may go on the trails only
with an adult.
3. Shoes must be worn at all times.
4. Students may not enter other students cabins.
5. All students are required to ride the bus to and from study sites, except in the
case of an emergency.
6. Running is allowed in the field - not in camp.
7. Quiet time starts at 9:30 pm and continues until 8:00 am.
