MCN Spam Control - Proofpoint Manual
Working with your PROFILE section
In the Profile section you can set the amount of spam detection you want (from no detection to aggressive detection.)
You can also view alias addresses you have in your account that are also receiving spam control.
To view the Profile section click on the word Profile at the bottom of the left column.

To view or change your settings click on the word "Settings" at the top of the left column.

The End User Digest email lets you know if there are emails that have been put in your quarantine.
There are links in that email allowing you to "Release" them if you want the emails sent to your inbox.
Under "My Settings" you can choose:
- to receive a daily End User Digest email or not. (This option
checked is the default and MCN recommends you leave it that way.)
- to receive an End User Digest email if there are no messages quarantined. (This option unchecked is the default and MCN recommends you leave it that way.)

Below that you choose what level of detection you want.
Click the dot to the left of the type of spam detection you want.
IMPORTANT: You must click the SAVE button in the upper menu or below.

Now let's move on to the ACCOUNT section.
Clicking on "Account" in the upper left column will show in the right column a list of any "alias" addresses you might have.

An alias is an email address that is created simply as a "cover" that leads to a legitimate address.
You must call us to create an alias with possibly your domain in it or perhaps a preferred word (if available) as the user name.
i.e. You could create the alias info@testytest.com designating all mail that goes to that address be forwarded to testy@mcn.org.
Or create the alias joejohnson@mcn.org with it's mail being forwarded mail to jjhnsn@mcn.org.
To view what alias addresses are included in your account:
Click on the word Account
In the right column you will see a list of all the alias addresses which are also getting spam detection by Proofpoint.
