Introducing MCN Spam Control, Powered by Proofpoint
Welcome to MCN's new spam and virus control program -- MCN Spam Control -- powered by Proofpoint.
We've switched to this new spam and virus control program because it's easier to use
and offers better and more comprehensive protection for our valued customers.
The MCN Spam Control program is divided into three sections that are easily visible at the bottom of the left column:
1) Quarantine: where you can view any emails MCN Spam Control has deemed virus-laden or junk.
2) Profile: where you can determine what type of spam detection you want
and view any alias addresses connected to your account.
3) Lists: where you can maintain Safe sender and Block sender Lists.
All three sections appear on the left side of your sceen all the time

Each section has two simple categories.
Briefly, here's what each category does. We'll go into detail in later pages in this overview.
Lists Section
Safe Senders: Enter and delete those e-mail addresses that you want passed through the system. (formerly called approved senders).
Blocked Senders: Enter and delete e-mail addresses that you always want to have held back in the quarantine.
Profile Section:
Settings: Choose your level of spam protection.
Account: See your basic account settings and aliases assigned to your account.
Quarantine Section:
Quarantine: See, deliver, and delete messages that have been held back as possible spam.
Virus: See those messages that have been held back as viruses. These cannot be released to your regular mailbox.
It's that simple. Now that you've had a quick overview, let's get you started...
We'll show you how to get to the Login Screen of MCN Spam Control, powered by Proofpoint.
Then move on to the Quarantine section to look at emails have been determined to be junk mail or viruses.
