My students are about to do their "Is There A Difference?" project. Is there any reason why they cant use a topic which requires more than 1 degree of freedom to test the chi square result with? Is the null written basically the same way as for just contrasting 2 populations and one yes or no answer? I only know what's in the teacher's manual, so I don't have a lot of background. The students are picking interesting topics, and I don't want to give them the wrong idea of the validity of their work.
