| Location and Description |
The southfacing town center lies near where the
creek in Jenner Gulch meets the Russian River as it flows through tranquil
estuary and by one of the last wide sweeps of its northern bank before
entering the great Pacific Ocean. Hilly and unstable upper slopes
host both the grassland of the old Rule
Ranch and the forested lands of Jenner's watershed.
Aside from the U.S. Post Office, Jenner remains
primarily residential, with the established businesses of two restaurants,
scattered B&B and cabin accommodations, a gift shop, and a convenience
store gas station. Most houses are fulltime residences, while a few
are available as weekend rentals. The town is within neighboring
Monte Rio's fire and school districts.
