Scheduled Rolling Outage Wednesday, February 8th 10:30 PM: MCN will need to install important security patches and perform work on virtual machine hosts on Thursday, December 8th which will cause a rolling Internet outage beginning at 10:30 PM that evening and ending around midnight. Many services will go down for short periods of time during the outage but will return quickly as machines are rebooted. We appreciate your patience during this outage.

CN offers toll free dialup in California. As of March 1st, 2012, we will no longer offer dialup access outside of California. Our pricing packages are listed below.

REGULAR 56K Analog Modem Dialup Access - $19.95 per month

Includes:

  • Full (PPP) Dialup Internet access on Local telephone numbers - 150 hours per month (hours logged in excess of 150/month billed at $.33 per hour) * Average use: under 40 hours/mo.
  • One email account - additional email accounts are available for $2.50 each
  • Newsgroups included

MCN Accelerator - $1.25/month

  • A subscription based service that increases the speed of dialup, ISDN, cable internet and slower DSL connections  by 3 to 7 times.

  • The more you use it--the better it gets.

    Modem speed supported is 56K using V.92 digital modems.

    Local toll-free Dial-Up Access is available throughout California.

    This system is a full Internet hookup via PPP.
    The setup fee does not include actual on-site installation of connectivity software or application software on the subscriber's computer, although MCN does provide some Internet software.
    One hour of free Technical Support is available for trouble-shooting.
    After successful installation and conectivity, MCN charges $1.00/minute ($60/hour) for Technical Support.
