Cancer Support Group
These free support group sessions are designed for men and women who are living with cancer. Size and composition varies from week to week, depending upon who needs what support, but the fundamental caring circle stays the same. The group serves as a support in practical and emotional matters.

This support is for men with all cancers at all stages. Size and composition varies from week to week, depending upon who needs what support, but the fundamental caring circle stays the same.

National Cancer Support Groups
CancerCare offers more than 50 support groups each month, where people meet face to face, over the telephone or online to discuss problems, gain support and learn from others. Each of these groups is led by a professional oncology social worker form the staff of CancerCare.

Types of Groups
CancerCare offers groups to address the concerns of a variety of poulations who are affected by any type of cancer, at any stage . The groups include:
  • Support for Patients, their Partners, Relatives and Caregivers
  • Bereavement Support for Partners and Relatives
  • "Heart and Soul" Spirituality Support


    Telephone Support Groups
    This type of support group takes place during a one hour conference call, which is free to participants. The following telephone groups are being offered:
