Many Changes (Monday, April 17, 2000)

....have taken place since I last posted anything here. It is time to do a little catch-up and make some promises to be more consistent with the RoseWrap. It has become apparent to me (Alice) that White Rabbit needs to regroup and approach its business from a new angle. In the About Us section of this page I will be detailing exactly how we will be operating for the next couple of years. We are actually scaling back (even though the demand for our roses is high right now) in order to remain in business. When Alice is able to retire from her "day job" she will devote all of her time to White Rabbit. However, the day job has been taking precedence and White Rabbit is endlessly being put on the back burner. In order to maintain a good level of service and continue to provide rare roses, we will be doing more and more of our propagation by special order -- our Custom Root offer. We have found it impossible right now to keep a complete stock of our roses on hand at all times. But we can provide anything in our collection if the customer is willing to wait for it. In a couple of years we will be able to build up a stock and have more available in the catalog. We realize that this is an inconvenience, but it is the only way that we can supply roses at all at this point in time. We will continue to insist on high quality and will only ship when a rose is large and well-established. Hopefully, by making this change in how we do business, we will be able to put some time into expanding this web page to provide more information and interesting features. Alice is also becoming more involved in writing and rose research and this will enable her to deepen her knowledge of the Queen of Flowers and share her discoveries with you, the RoseWrap reader. Please accept our apologies for slow email responses to your questions. This situation will be improving, thanks to our changes.
