What is the Golden Wood anyway?

The Golden Wood is a glimmer of light among the trees. It is the hum of the world when plucked by the finger of Orpheus. It is the chords and notes locked within the heart of the sylvan temple only awaiting release by the luthiers sure hand. The Golden Wood is Lothlorien, the hidden land. At the deepest center of the wood is Caras Galadon, city of elves where dwell the Galadrim high in the trees. From their workshops come magical instruments the sweet tones of which can gladden the aching heart, warm the coldest bone, lift the flagging spirit.
