Melville Island, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

The Prison where Pierre Joseph Noel was held by the English during the Napoleonic War was

on Melville Island now the Armdale Yacht Club in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Cells were 6 x 13

with six men each. This picture was taken in 1997 by Virginia S Whiting who is in line with Pierre.
