Mrs. Eaton has 16 years of teaching experience and 7 years experience as a school administrator. She has taught every class from Kindergarten through High School. She taught in Scotland and been both a teacher and an administrator in Africa. Since arriving in California five years ago, she has been the Technology Teacher at Neil Cummins School in the Larkspur District in Mann County and Vice Principal at Hillcrest School in the John Swett District in Contra Costa County.As the new Superintendent/Principal at Manchester, her goals include:

1. Valuing successful programs already in place at Manchester

2. Increasing student achievement in the STAR (State Testing and Review) test by 5% annually.

3. Ensuring that Manchester School is a safe place for students. This includes checking that buildings and the yard are safe and that students are safe from bullying at school.

4. Keeping regular, positive and open communications with parents and the community. This includes analyzing the May ‘97 Parent Survey.

5. Helping the School Board in its efforts to get an extension to the School Bond, so that students can have a much needed Multi-Purpose room.

6. Ensuring that students leave Manchester Elementary with strong technology/computer skills
