Road Map to the Mendocino Coast

There are 3 major routes into Mendocino:

• Highway 1 from the juncture of Highway 101 at Leggett (north of Laytonville).
• Highway 128 from the juncture of Highway 101 at Cloverdale.
• Highway 20 from the juncture of Highway 101 at Willits.

Highway 1 north of San Francisco is a very scenic coastal route, but not considered a major route as it is slower travel time. There are numerous unimproved roads winding their way to Mendocino from small towns along Highway 101 and 128. Enjoy your trip to the coast.
