A NOTE OF CAUTION:
Reaching Fort Bragg involves traveling over at
least 30 miles of mountainous, curvy roads.
-
If you or any of your passengers are inclined
to motion sickness, appropriate medication is recommended.
-
Driving to Fort Bragg in the late afternoon can
be extremely hazardous because the sun is in your eyes. As the road
dips around curves and into redwood groves, the transition from bright
sunlight to the darkness of the groves can cause temporary visual impairment.
It is highly recommended that you use extreme caution and turn on your
vehicle's headlights.
-
If travelling during the winter rainy season check
the road conditions of your intended route with CALTRANS (1-800-427-7623)
as Hwys 1 and 20 are subject to mud slides and Hwy 128 to flooding.
